For rising 11th graders, Eden Village in the Wild takes Eden Village Camp on the road to explore what it means to bring our Eden Village values into the wilderness and the “real world.” Travelling from camp to the Adirondack wilderness to the concrete jungle of Montreal, we will be connecting with ourselves, our Jewish tribe, and the whole world!
Eden Village in the Wild will take place July 13th - July 27th, 2025.
Here’s a brief overview of the program:
Getting Started: We’ll start at camp and spend a day building our cohort and preparing for our adventure.
Five Day Wilderness Experience: We’ll then head to the Adirondacks where we will have a backcountry canoe and camping experience as a full group. Here we will ground in our community- and nature-based values, deeping our connection with self and spirituality. We’ll canoe to a backcountry wilderness campsite, cook our own food over the fire, swim, stargaze, fish, and explore the beautiful wilderness of the Adirondacks Lakes region. Teens will define and create for themselves a meaningful Shabbat experience rooted in tradition, Eden Village magic, and the stunning backdrop of the Adirondack wilderness.
Five Day Montreal Adventure: After Shabbat, we hit the road for five days in the city of Montreal! Discovering how we can find and create Eden Village magic in ourselves and all around us, we’ll explore the historic Jewish communities, foodways, and modern cultural experiences that Montreal has to offer. All the while, we’ll be singing, dancing, angel-walking and love pranking our way through the streets of this vibrant city.
Closing Shabbat at Camp: For our final Shabbat we’ll head back home to Eden Village Camp to join the full camp Shabbat and share about our adventures with our community.
